The Tunis stock exchange showed an upward trend in the week from December 2 to 6. According to an analysis by the broker Tunisie Valeurs, the stock market’s main index rose by 0.8% to 9,940.27 points.
Since the beginning of the year, the TUNINDEX has posted an annual performance of 13.6%, a commendable performance given the gloomy economic climate.
The first week of December saw a slight improvement in the pace of trading, with a total of TND 24.6 million, or a daily average of TND 4.9 million.
The SANIMED share was the best performer of the week. The share price rose by 20.3% to TND 0.890 on a ridiculous flow of TND 33,000.
The SOTEMAIL share was the best performer of the week. The ceramic specialist’s shares rose 18.5% to TND 2.370 on thin trading of TND 19,000.
AeTECH was the biggest detractor during the week. The stock fell 11.1% to TND 0.240 on thin trading of TND 3,000.
STB shares were among the week’s losers, but were not traded. The public bank’s share price fell by 5% to TND 2.830.
AMEN BANK was the most active stock of the week (volume 7.3 million shares). The stock captured 29.7% of the market volume.
