Tunisia: Tunisair Express launches Sfax-Benghazi air service

Tunisair Express carrier will launch, from June 26, a new regular air service between Sfax and Benghazi, at a rate of two flights per week, Tuesday and Thursday.

This new service aims, according to the company, to widen the scope of social-economic opportunities between the two regions. A month ago, another air service had been launched between Monastir and Tripoli, twice a week.

“Consolidation of our presence in Libya is aimed to meet needs of the market and reflects the importance Tunisair Express lends to regional development to serve the Tunisian economy and tourism,” Tunisair Express Director-General Hatem Motemri said.

The Sfax-Tripoli service will reinforce the company’s presence on the Libyan market with a total of 12 weekly flights this summer from several cities. Since June 11, the company raised its flights between Sfax and Tripoli to 6 a week (daily, except for Tuesday), in addition to two Tunis-Sfax-Misrata weekly flights.
