UNIMED has published its interim financial statements for the period ending June 30, 2020.

These statements show a net profit of 5.7 million dinars, compared to 11 million in June 2019, a decrease of 48%.

At the end of the first half of the year, the company achieved revenues of about 45.6 million dinars, compared to 57.7 million a year earlier, a decline of 21%.

These revenues come to 17.2 million dinars from export sales (-29%) and 28.5 million dinars from local sales (-14.8%).

On the other hand, operating expenses fell from 39.6 million dinars at the end of June 2019 to 36.2 million dinars as of June 30, a decline of 8.7%, including 19.8 million dinars of purchases of supplies consumed.

As a result, the operating profit fell by 47.6% compared to the first half of last year to 9.5 million dinars.

Net financial expenses for the period posted a sharp decline of 34.5% to nearly 2 million dinars, compared to 3 million a year earlier, mainly due to the exchange rate difference which is positive 111 million dinars against a loss of 1.4 million last year.
