Mourad Hattab, expert and specialist in the field of financial risk, announced the creation of a universal bank with a capital of nearly 600 million Tunisian dinars (MTD), by a group of Tunisian and foreign investors including 7 shareholders from Tunisia, the European Union, Gulf countries and emerging economies, including banks and sovereign funds.
Formal negotiations with financial authorities (BCT, Ministry of Finance ….) should begin during the first quarter of 2015 and the bank can begin its implementation by the end of the current year.
Once operational, the bank will operate in several areas such as regional development, creation of regional banks, major projects, trade finance and strategic sectors (real estate, industries using ICT, management of financial companies’ investment, strengthening the financing of micro, small and medium enterprises).
