Tunisia: UTICA signs cooperation agreement with Arab Union of Customs Executives

The Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (French: UTICA) and the Arab Union of Customs Executives (AUCE) signed on Thursday in Tunis a cooperation agreement to share expertise and facilitate trade among Arab countries.

The agreement, signed by UTICA President Samir Majoul and AUCE President Mamdouh Abdullah Rifai, “aims to boost cooperation in fields of mutual interest,” reads a UTICA press release.

Both officials, who met at UTICA headquarters, discussed ways to ensure the protection of customs brokers. Means to boost Arab joint action, promote inter-Arab trade and overcome obstacles facing investment in Arab countries were also discussed.
