Tunisia: World Bank donates $ 4.7 million under Deauville Partnership

The World Bank will donate $ 4.7 million to Tunisia from the Transition Fund established under the Deauville Partnership.

The donation agreement was signed Tuesday, November 5, 2013 in Tunis by Lamine Doghri, Minister of Development and International Cooperation and Simon Gray, World Bank Director for the Maghreb and Middle East Department.

The donation, which fits under the World Bank’s support for democratic transition in Tunisia, is intended to finance the project to support social protection reforms. The project aims to strengthen the institutional capacity for the development reforms in the systems of social security and improve the targeting of social security programs.
