‘GCC countries most stable in region’

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries are the most stable within a volatile and unstable region, Bahrain’s Premier said yesterday (March 8).

This is thanks to the success of its leaders and governments in safeguarding the stability of their nations, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said in a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

He called upon GCC people to rally together to face ‘enemies of development and stability’ who are plotting to undermine their countries’ security and progress.

The Premier made the statements as he received at Gudaibiya Palace Energy Minister Dr Abdulhussain Mirza, who introduced to him a delegation taking part in the 19th Middle East Oil & Gas Show and Conference, being held in the kingdom.

It comprised Kuwaiti Oil Minister and State Minister for National Assembly Affairs Dr Ali Al Omair, UAE Energy Minister Suhail Mohamed Faraj Al Mazrouei, Opec secretary general Abdalla Salem El Badri and MEOS 2015 conference chairman Abdul Hameed Al Rushaid.

The Premier underscored the importance of organising events and conferences that contribute to developing the oil and gas industry in the kingdom. He also highlighted the increasing importance of MEOS that brings together all oil and gas experts under one roof.
