100 international financial institutions expected at FITA 2024

The Tunisia Africa Business Council (TABC) has announced the composition of the organizing committee for the 7th edition of the international conference “Financing Investment & Trade in Africa”, to be held in Tunis on June 11 and 12, 2024.

The conference aims to be one of the most important meetings in Africa and a forum for developing business, seeking financing and building solid partnerships.

TABC expects to organize 3,000 business-to-business (BtoB) and business-to-government (BtoG) meetings. The aim is to strengthen local transformation and technology transfer for sustainable and inclusive growth in Africa.

TABC hopes to further develop exports to Africa in 2024

In a statement to AfricanManager on Thursday, March 14, 2024, TABCA President Anis Jaziri said that the Tunisian-African Business Council is planning to open regional offices in West and Central Africa in order to be closer to Tunisian economic operators in these regions and provide them with more effective support.

In this context, he assured that the TABC will also work on the development of exports by Tunisian companies and provide more support to Tunisian operators in their efforts.

The steering committee is made up of 12 leading figures from Africa, Europe, America and Asia, with a majority of women for the first time.

This group of experts in various fields, including finance, investment, trade and economics, will work for seven months to produce what can only be an exceptional edition of FITA2024.

A host of experts from all continents

Over the years, FITA has become one of the most eagerly awaited annual meetings in the world of finance, trade and investment in Africa. The most strategic issues will be discussed in high-level panels and roundtables.

Experts from every continent will be on hand to lead and debate with a select audience. More than 1,000 CEOs from over 70 countries will be able to meet and exchange ideas on a B2B and B2G basis.

A total of 14 side events will be organized alongside FITA2024, including the Korea Tunisia Africa Business Forum, which aims to strengthen multilateral relations between Tunisia, Korea and Africa.

In 2023, several missions will be organized to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mauritania, Cameroon and Algeria.

The previous edition focused on the global energy crisis and how Africa can offer viable alternatives in terms of food security in Africa, as well as the development of inter-African trade and the role of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

FITA 2024, a top-level African event, will make Tunisia the largest hub in Africa.
