The consumer price index stood at 5.6% for the month of July 2012 against 5.4% a month earlier, according to figures from the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
They are foods and beverages that contributed most to this inflation with a rate of 7.6% while tobacco (9.8%) and education (9.8% also) were above average.
Restaurants & hotels are distinguished by a rate of 7.4%, housing, water, electricity and gas (3.4%), furniture and household equipment (6.0%), and clothing and footwear (3.4%).
