The insurance company STAR said its Board of Directors met Thursday, March 17, 2022 and adopted the financial statements for the year 2021.
The latter show a net profit of 21 million dinars, against 16.4 million in 2020, up 28%.
The written premiums show a rise of 1.9% to 368.1 million dinars, from 361.4 million in 2020.
This rise concerned mainly the Transport, Fire and Life branches. As for earned premiums, they increased by 1.6% to 368.6 million dinars.
Claims expenses amounted to 276.1 million dinars, against 266.2 million in 2020, up 3.7% while net investment income amounted to 77.7 million dinars, against 65.9 million a year earlier, up 17.8%.
In addition, the Board decided to propose the distribution of a dividend of 3.650 dinars per share and to convene the company’s shareholders for an Ordinary General Meeting on May 12, 2022.
