Seasonally adjusted gross domestic product (GDP) in volume terms grew by 1% in the second quarter of this year compared with the same period in the previous year, the National Statistics Institute (INS) announced on Friday.
Compared with the first quarter of the current year, GDP grew by 0.2%, down from 0.6% in the previous quarter.
On this basis, the Tunisian economy grew by 0.6% in the first half of this year. According to the INS, GDP has not yet reached the level recorded at the end of 2019, i.e. before the health crisis.
