STB signed on September 19 partnership agreement with the ADAPT program, which is dedicated to promoting sustainable agriculture and fisheries.
“This partnership is a concrete expression of the Bank’s ongoing efforts to make its customers aware of the benefits of this innovative program, which aims to promote more environmentally friendly farming,” said a statement from the Bank.
Aware of the current challenges to sustainable development, particularly in the fisheries, agriculture and agri-food sectors, STB has mobilized to support and train its teams on the opportunities offered by the ADAPT program.
Thanks to these awareness-raising and training sessions, nearly 144 STB managers throughout Tunisia were able to familiarize themselves with the program’s eligibility criteria. In addition, several STB customers attended and benefited from these sessions, according to the same statement.
The signing of this partnership opens up new prospects for Tunisian farmers. In addition to the funding available, beneficiaries will also have access to donations, which will strengthen their ability to implement more responsible and sustainable farming practices.
Through this initiative, “STB confirms its role as a bank committed to sustainable development and as a key partner in supporting its customers’ ecological transition.”
