The commercial port of Sousse has recently received a ship carrying 3,000 tons of imported potatoes, which will soon be distributed to the main fruit and vegetable wholesale markets across the country, said the Regional Director of Trade and Export Development in Sousse, Fawzi Taleb.
Taleb said on Friday that the relevant authorities are continuing to carry out the necessary checks and analyses on the potato cargo before it is released, with distribution planned in various regions of the country.
According to Mosaique FM, the initiative is designed to compensate for fluctuations in the supply of potatoes.
