Tunisia: National oil production down 12

National crude oil production in January 2025 was 109 kilotons (kt), down 12% compared to January 2024, according to the January 2025 energy situation report published by the National Observatory of Energy and Mines.

This decline affects most of the main fields, namely Ashtart (-18%), El Hajeb/Guebiba (-19%), Gherib (-20%), Nawara (-38%), Miskar (-32%) and Halk el Manzel (-6%).

Conversely, other fields recorded an improvement in production, namely El Borma (+14%), M.L.D. (+19%) and Adem (+1%).

Average daily oil production rose from 31.3 thousand barrels/day in January 2024 to 28.8 thousand barrels/day in January 2025, according to the same source.

It should be noted that production in the Hasdrubal concession resumed on 10 December 2024 after being shut down for maintenance on 27 November 2024.
