Tunisia: City Cars’ half-year profit rises 70% to 17 million dinars

City Cars, the official importer and distributor of the KIA brand in Tunisia, has published its interim financial statements as of June 30, 2025.

The results show a clear improvement in commercial and financial performance compared to the same period in 2024.

At the end of the first half, revenue stood at 180.8 million dinars, compared to 135.2 million dinars a year earlier, an increase of nearly 33.7%.

This growth was driven primarily by strong sales of new vehicles, which generated over 148.7 million dinars, in addition to solid performance in popular vehicle sales (23.8 million dinars).

Thanks to this progress, the operating result reached 21.1 million dinars, compared to 10.7 million dinars in the first half of 2024. After accounting for net financial expenses (1.1 million dinars) and investment income (6.3 million dinars), the pre-tax result stood at 26 million dinars, a sharp increase from the 14.8 million recorded a year earlier.

After tax, the net result for the half-year amounts to 17.3 million dinars, compared to 10.1 million as of June 30, 2024, representing an increase of nearly 70.8%.

This result brings City Cars’ equity to 84.3 million dinars, thereby strengthening its financial solidity.

In terms of cash flow, the company reported a closing position of 58 million dinars, slightly down from the end of the 2024 fiscal year (74.2 million dinars), mainly due to changes in working capital requirements and investments made.

With these results, City Cars confirms the robustness of its business model and its ability to consolidate its market share in a Tunisian automotive sector still characterized by supply constraints and strong demand for popular vehicles.
