The indictment chamber specialized in financial corruption cases at the Court of Appeal of Tunis has decided to refer Mohamed Sakher El Materi, son-in-law of former president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, to the criminal chamber of the Tunis Court of First Instance for financial corruption cases, according to Mosaique FM.
Meanwhile, the indictment chamber decided to suspend criminal proceedings against Mongi Safra, former minister and adviser to the presidency, under the Administrative Reconciliation Law.
The case concerns a public contract obtained by a company headed by Sakher El Materi.
