Tunisia: Faisal Derbal praises strengthened social role in 2026 Finance Bill

Faisal Derbal, President of the Tunisian Center for Institutional Governance, affiliated with the Arab Institute of Business Managers (IACE), said in a statement to Mosaïque that the 2026 Finance Bill contains positive measures, particularly regarding the social role of the state, marking a transition toward a genuine “social state.”

He highlighted measures such as support for “children of the moon,” including an allowance of 130 dinars and provision of clothing at subsidized prices.

Derbal also praised initiatives for people with special needs and vulnerable populations, as well as measures to facilitate access to employment.

For example, the state will cover part of the contributions to the National Social Security Fund for young graduates over four years, at rates of 100%, 80%, 40%, and 50%, to support professional integration.

Finally, he noted positive provisions targeting small and medium-sized enterprises during a roundtable organized by the Tunisian Competencies Association on the 2026 Finance Bill and budget.
