Tunisia has climbed eight places to rank 74th globally in the latest DHL Global Connectedness Report, securing the sixth spot in Africa.
The 2026 edition of the prestigious index, published by global logistics giant DHL, evaluates 180 countries based on their integration into the global economy through trade, capital, information, and people flows.
With a score of 50 out of 100, Tunisia showed notable improvement from its position in the previous edition.
The report measures connectivity through indicators such as exports and imports of goods and services, foreign direct investment, international internet traffic, digital services, migration, tourism and professional exchanges.
According to the latest findings, globalization remains at historically high levels despite ongoing geopolitical tensions, conflicts, trade disputes, and political uncertainty.
Europe continues to be the world’s most connected region, followed closely by North America and then the Middle East–North Africa region.
Seychelles ranks as Africa’s most connected country, placing 40th globally with a score of 57, driven by its heavily trade- and tourism-oriented economy.
It is followed by South Africa at 53rd place with a score of 53, Morocco at 62nd, up 11 spots from 2025, with a score of 52, and Mauritius at 65th.
