Tunisia: BTK successfully closes subordinated bond issue, raising TND 30 million

The Tuniso-Kuwaiti Bank (BTK) has announced the successful closing of its subordinated bond issue, “BTK Subordonné 2026-1,” raising the full TND 30 million target in just under one month.

Launched on February 24, 2026, as a private placement without a public offering, the subscription period was concluded on March 26, 2026, well ahead of schedule, reflecting strong market appetite for the bank’s securities.

The successful capital raise marks a strategic move for BTK. By opting for a subordinated debt structure, the bank bolsters its supplementary capital without diluting existing shareholder equity.

The proceeds are primarily intended to support the expansion of its financing activities and optimize its prudential ratios, ensuring a robust financial position in line with regulatory requirements.

With this transaction, BTK demonstrates its ability to mobilize capital efficiently, underscoring investor confidence in its development strategy for 2026.
