Tunisie Catering, a subsidiary of the Tunisair Group specializing in air catering, has obtained dual certification ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 22000:2018, the national airline announced on Thursday.
ISO 9001:2015 is internationally recognized for quality management systems. It defines requirements that allow any organization, regardless of its sector, to establish, maintain, and continuously improve a quality management system to meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
The ISO 22000:2018 certification confirms that Tunisie Catering has a system compliant with these standards, validated by an independent certifying body.
“This dual certification recognizes the strength of Tunisie Catering’s organization, the control of its processes, and its ongoing commitment to quality, food safety, and operational performance,” Tunisair stated.
“It notably confirms the deployment of management systems in line with international standards, the strengthening of a position based on reliability and compliance with food safety standards, as well as the company’s ability to deliver services meeting the highest sector requirements,” the statement added.
According to Tunisair, this recognition aligns fully with the group’s overall performance strategy, focused on continuous improvement of service quality and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Tunisie Catering was established on October 21, 1948, as a division under Tunisair, specializing in air catering.
Since 2001, the subsidiary has expanded its presence in Tunisia with the opening of three production units: Djerba in 2001, followed by Monastir and Tunis in 2002.
Today, Tunisie Catering holds a monopoly and exclusive position in its field for Tunisian air traffic.
It is the official partner of national airlines as well as international carriers operating at all airports in the country, ensuring the provision of air catering services that meet international standards.
