Beninese chairs African Road Maintenance Funds Assoc.

Beninese Sylvestre Janvier Kotchoffa has been elected chairman of the African Road Maintenance Funds Association, replacing Samuel Donatien Nyengué of Cameroon.

Kotchoffa was elected into a two-year term at the end of the 10th general assembly of the organisation in Cotonou, Benin, Thursday.

Kenyan Nyanga Franck and Cape Verdian Gertrudes Soares were elected deputy chairmen, while Zambian Mwanaumo Anthony was elected treasurer.

The 10th general assembly of the organisation opened on Tuesday, with the theme: ”Twenty years of reforms on road maintenance in sub-Saharan Africa: Assessment and perspectives.’
