Brazil to help Congo fight youth unemployment

The Brazilian ambassador in Congo, Wolowski Paulo, on Thursday in Brazzaville expressed his country’s wish to help Congo solve the problem on youth unemployment estimated at 25%.

“The Republic of Congo could follow the example of the efforts made by Brazil in the fight against unemployment, poverty and idleness among young people to solve the problem of the country’s youth,” the Brazilian diplomat said at the end of talks with the Congolese minister of Youth and Civic Education, Anatole Collinet Makosso.

The two men reviewed the bilateral cooperation between their countries and stressed particularly how to take care of young men.

Makosso also sought support from Brazil on the training of young Congolese, particularly support to the Congolese government to transform the technical support centres into job centres.
