Congo to spend 98 billion CFA francs on road maintenance

The Congolese government will spend 98 billion CFA francs on the maintenance and rehabilitation of roads in its central Plateau district, according to a statement issued here Wednesday by the Ministry of Equipment and Public Works.

The project will link Djambala, the main city of the Plateau, to all other districts in the region.

The ministry said that the objective is to facilitate movement within the district where festivities of the country’s Independence Day will be held on 15 August.
