Cote d’Ivoire: Trading at West African Bourse ends week down

Trading at the West African regional stock exchange (BRVM) ended the week on the decline, with the BRVM index 10 falling from 256.66 to 251.11 points, representing a decrease of 2.16%.

The Composite BRVM index slid 1.87% to 240.53 points, against 245.12 in the previous week.

The BRVM index-transport registered the highest decrease with 886.46 points, representing a slid of 2.88%, compared to the previous week, while the BRVM-other sectors remained stable with 306.36.

Total value of transactions was 2.29 billion CFA Francs for 579.140 shares, against 2.41 billion CFA Francs for 483.018 shares exchanged the previous week.

The transactions involved 38 companies, including 33 on the equity market and 5 on the bond markets.

Market capitalisation of equity market added up to 5,840.16 billion CFA Francs, against the 5,841.44 billion CFA Francs recorded the previous week, while that of the bond market reached 1,191.32 billion CFA Francs, against 1,162.66 billion CFA Francs previously recorded.

UNIWAX Cote d’Ivoire ended the week with 42.000 CFA Francs, representing an increase of  7.69%. But FILTISAC Côte d’Ivoire  slid 8.30% to 11.100 CFA Franc.
