Emaar unveils new ‘Manzil’ hotel brand

Global property developer, Emaar Properties said its hospitality unit has launched the new ‘Manzil’ brand that brings authentic Arabesque flavour to modern boutique hotels.

‘Manzil’ is the fourth hotel brand under Emaar Hospitality Group, following the success of The Address Hotels + Resorts, Vida Hotels and Resorts and Dubai Inn.

Celebrating the fabled tradition of Arabian hospitality, ‘Manzil,’ an upscale boutique brand, will be distinguished by its Arabesque design elements, elegant décor that embodies the region’s cultural identity, and a diversity of culinary choices resonating the flavours of the Arab world, said the company in a statement.

At the heart of every ‘Manzil’ hotel will be a Courtyard, a traditional Arabic ‘majlis’ that creates a haven of comfort and serves as a foyer for networking.

Defining a new niche in the market, the first property under the new brand will be Manzil Downtown Dubai (formerly Al Manzil), located directly opposite Souk Al Bahar.

Distinguished by a unique palette of brown, beige, and white, Manzil Downtown Dubai will feature 197 rooms intricately designed to provide a warm and embracing welcome for visitors, it added.

Emaar Properties chairman Mohamed Alabbar said: “Manzil’ is a dynamic new hotel brand that celebrates the warmth that one associates with Arabian hospitality. It is a perfect fit to Dubai’s culture of welcoming visitors from around the world, offering them all the conveniences of modernity in a traditional ambience that highlights the region’s culture.”

Emaar, he stated, was focused on offering highly memorable guest experiences to visitors, particularly from the region.

“Manzil will add to the choices we offer, building on our successful track-record of providing unparalleled hospitality options,” he added.

Exotic Arabian charm is seamlessly integrated with the hotel’s state-of-the-art amenities, smart connectivity and modern lifestyle choices, making ‘Manzil’ a true representation of today’s Arabian identity – modern in outlook and traditional in values.

The new brand targets the younger generation of travellers and entrepreneurs, especially from the GCC countries, offering them an unbeatable lifestyle choice.

Setting a new trend in Arabesque design through contemporary interpretations, the hotels will also draw on the renowned ‘mashrabiya’ facade – a theme that extends to the lobbies and aisles. Intimate seating arrangements replete with comfortable cushions, ornamentation derived from artefacts from the region, and Arabian objet d’art heighten the Arabian feel.

All rooms are equipped with the latest telecom and entertainment amenities. A ‘smart’ lifestyle is highlighted with free Wi-Fi, online booking and check-in and other features that add to the convenience of the guests. With ceiling-to-floor windows, the rooms bask in ample natural light.

Emaar will begin the roll out of ‘Manzil’ in its home city of Dubai, as well as in key global markets that it is present in, stated Alabbar.

Emaar Hospitality Group has 12 hotels in its portfolio and owns and manages a diversified portfolio of hospitality assets including hotels, serviced residences, golf retreats, a polo and equestrian club.
