Head of State inspects work at roundabout of Ben Daha

President Kais Saied, on Wednesday evening, made an inspection visit to the roundabout of Ben Daha in Tunis where he inquired about the progress of work to connect drinking water in the southern suburbs of the capital.

According to a video posted by the Presidency of the Republic, Saied stressed that the decision to cut off water supply is dictated by “the supreme interest”, adding that he counts on citizens’ understanding on this point.

“Water tankers have been mobilised for this purpose and mineral water has been provided, especially in the governorate of Ben Arous, where several delegations are seeing a water cut,” said President Saied.

The site managers assured the President of the Republic that the work is making steady progress, expecting this work to be completed 20 hours before the deadlines.

In addition, President Kais Saied visited the governorate of Ben Arous where he inquired about the quantities of mineral water that have been stored for the benefit of the region and distributed to low-income families.
