A new mobile phone network, the third in the cou ntry, will be launched in Mauritania in September, Mohamed Abderrahman Ahmed Eth m ane, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, Chinguitel (a subsidiary o f the Sudanese outfit, Sudatel), announced here Thursday.
Chinguitel is the third operator of mobile telephony on the Mauritanian market, but is the only operator to use the CDMA network with the “3G” Technology or vid e ophone.
Ethmane told newsmen the launching of the Chinguitel GSM network “aims to better serve the customers and open new prospects for services, with many benefits.”
