Tunisian date exports continued their upward trend during the 2025/2026 season, with Morocco maintaining its position as the leading importer of Tunisian dates.
According to data published by the National Observatory of Agriculture (ONAGRI), Tunisia exported 113,900 tons of dates during the first seven months of the 2025/2026 campaign, compared with 107,900 tons over the same period in the previous season, marking an increase of 5.6%.
Export revenues reached 725.6 million dinars, up from 687.1 million dinars a year earlier, also representing a 5.6% increase.
The Deglet Nour variety continues to dominate Tunisian date exports, accounting for nearly 84% of total volumes shipped abroad.
Morocco remains the top importer of Tunisian dates, accounting for 14.6% of total exports, ahead of Italy (12.1%) and Germany (10.4%).
At the global level, the European Union remains the main destination for Tunisian dates, absorbing 47.5% of exports. Asia follows with 21.4%, while Africa accounts for nearly 20% of export markets.
