The government expects income of 1.331 billion FCFA while expenditure is forecast at 1.347 billion FCFA.

The motion for the approval was adopted by 80 Members of Parliament from the ruling majority as against 30 from opposition who found it not realistic.

According to the report of the Parliamentary Committee on finance and budget, the budget met the outlines of the programme of economic and financial reforms and other sectoral programmes concluded with Niger’s development partners.

It also takes into consideration the commitments made by Niger related to the convergence criteria set by the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA).
