The Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy has granted the company «Nourza Power» an authorization to operate an electricity production unit from photovoltaic solar energy.
With a power of 1 megawatt, this unit located in the Matmata delegation in the governorate of Gabès will sell its production in full and exclusively to the Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company (STEG), according to an order from the Minister of Energy issued on May 24, 2024, published in the Official Gazette of the Tunisian Republic number 70, of June 7, 2024.
With a duration of 20 years, from the date of publication of the decree in the JORT, this authorization may be extended in accordance with the cases provided for by government decree no. 2016-1123 of August 24, 2016 and the standard contract approved by the order of the Minister of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energies of August 30, 2018 mentioned above.
