Private investments in Angola in 2010 totalled over US$3 billio
in 2010, the state-run Angola press agency, Angop, reported.
It said the information was released by the president of the Restructuring Commission of the
National Agency for Private Investment (ANIP), Aguinaldo Jaime, while addressing the
Angola/Finland Business Forum.
According to him, the huge investments earned Angola the honour of being named by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) as one of the most
successful in attracting private investments.
On the other hand, he said investments in non-oil sector rose to US$2.3 billion in 2010,
against US$1.8 billion in 2009, which means that the non-oil sector grew 32 percent in 2010, compared to the previous year.
Jaime put the total number of investments in the southern African nation in 2010 at US$4.6 billion
