Despite the disruption experienced by the dairy industry, production posted an 8% increase, announced Noureddine Agrebi, Director of Food Industries, Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The official said that the machined amount increased by 8% from 536 million liters in 2011 to 578 million liters. Similarly, drinking milk has reached 500 million liters, up 12%.
Noureddine Agrebi added that the amount of commercial milk sold in the market grew 9%, i.e. the equivalent of 515 million liters.
