Minister of Finance, Slim Chaker said tax evasion is a big problem faced by the state, calling, in this regard, to implement a good strategy against this scourge.
This strategy should be able, according to him, to increase the tax revenues of the state by 25% on average.
Slim Chaker also told MosaiqueFm on Tuesday that nearly 400,000 citizens benefit of the flat tax system and pay less than 1% of taxes to the state.
According to his statement, tax evasion causes the state losses of up to 1.2 billion dinars.
