Tunisia: 1,200 Tunisian guest workers hired in first half of 2013

1,200 guest workers, including 62 first-time job seekers, were recruited during the first half of 2013, posting an increase of 12% compared to the same period of 2012, according to the Tunisian Agency for Technical Cooperation (ATCT).

The area of education and teaching leads with 529 enrolled or 44% of all hires. Second, there is the health sector with 246 recruited and engineering with 154 guest workers.

Arab countries are still in the first position in the recruitment of Tunisian skilled workers abroad with 902, or 75% of total recruitments, while Saudi Arabia ranks first with 398 executives, followed by Qatar with 220 Tunisian guest workers hired.
