Tunisia: 6 offers for acquisition of majority stake in Carthage Cement’s share capital

Six offers have just been filed for the acquisition of a majority block in the capital of Carthage Cement, Al Karama Holding announced Tuesday.

The list of pre-qualified investors will be communicated once the opening and counting of the offers received is finalized.

As a reminder, Al Karama Holding launched, on May 29, 2020, a call for expressions of interest for the sale of a majority block representing at least 58.2% and up to 78% of the capital of Carthage Cement, a public limited company listed on the Tunis Stock Exchange, specialized in the production of cement, aggregates and concrete.

The cement plant, located about 30 km south-east of Tunis, operates a quarry owned by the company and juxtaposed to the plant for the supply of raw materials.
