The Ras Ajdir border crossing, Ben Guerdane, resumed operations on both Libyan and Tunisian sides.
Libyans can now enter into Tunisian territory, but the traffic is very low.
Adel Néji, a member of the Crisis Unit, established by residents of Ben Guerdane said the temporary lifting of the sit-in came after an agreement to give the government a deadline, until next Saturday, for the cancellation, in the short term of the exit tax, pending the treatment of development issues in the area.
The decision to suspend the sit-in observed in Ben Guerdane was made at a meeting held on Saturday afternoon.
