Tunisia has been ranked 77th out of 128 countries surveyed worldwide at the Global Innovation Index 2016 report published Monday, August 15, 2016 by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), well ahead Egypt (107th) and Algeria (113th).
As for Morocco, it came 72nd in 2016.
At the level of Arab countries, Saudi Arabia (49th worldwide), Qatar (50th), Bahrain (57th), Kuwait (67th), Lebanon (70th), Oman (73), Jordan (82nd ) and or the United Arab Emirates take the top spots in the region.
Globally, Switzerland was ranked first followed by Sweden (2nd), the UK (3rd), the United States (4th) and Finland (5th).
