Tunisia: ASSAD posts loss of 3.7 million dinars in first half

The Tunisian battery accumulator ASSAD has published its interim financial statements as of June 30, 2022. These statements show a net loss of 3.7 million dinars, against a loss of 3 million a year earlier.

The company has achieved a turnover of 42.8 million dinars, against 41 million at the end of June last year, up 4%. These revenues come from local sales for 19 million dinars and export sales for 23.7 million dinars.

Operating expenses totaled 43.3 million dinars, compared to 41.9 million dinars in the first half of last year, including 24.7 million of purchases of supplies consumed and 8 million of personnel costs.

Consequently, the half-yearly operating result shows a deficit of 93 thousand dinars, against a negative result of 459 thousand dinars at the end of June 2021.

In addition, the net financial charges increased by 53% to 3.7 million dinars against 2.4 million a year earlier.
