Tunisian Accumulator Company ASSAD has announced that it has obtained official certification for its energy management system in accordance with the ISO 50001:2018 standard, marking a significant milestone in its sustainable performance strategy.
The certification, valid for three years, covers the company’s industrial facilities in Bou Argoub, including both the manufacturing plant and the recycling unit.
It recognizes ASSAD’s ongoing efforts to optimize energy performance while reducing its environmental footprint.
The implementation of this structured energy management system reflects the company’s broader commitment to responsible industrial development. By adopting a continuous improvement approach, ASSAD aims to better control energy consumption while strengthening its overall competitiveness in the market.
Beyond formal recognition, the achievement highlights the role of internal teams in driving the project forward. Management emphasized that employee involvement across all levels was a key factor in successfully meeting the certification requirements.
“This certification fully demonstrates our commitment to energy performance and sustainability. It is the result of remarkable collective effort,” the company stated.
ASSAD also noted that the certification will support its long-term energy transition ambitions and enhance its positioning with financial and institutional partners increasingly focused on ESG criteria and climate-related initiatives.
