Tunisia at SIAGRO in Dakar to position its offering

A delegation of Tunisian companies is taking part in the International Exhibition of Agro-Food Industries and Technologies (SIAGRO 2026), held from April 9 to 11 in Dakar under the theme: “Tunisian–Senegalese business meetings: Solutions and inputs for sustainable and smart agriculture.”

The Tunisian participation is part of a business mission organized by the CEPEX, through its commercial representation in Dakar, from April 7 to 11, 2026.

The aim is to strengthen direct partnerships between operators from both countries and position Tunisian products as concrete solutions for the Senegalese market.

The 15th edition of the exhibition brings together around 110 exhibitors from 11 countries, focusing on agricultural modernization, agro-food processing, and food security in Senegal.

It offers Tunisian companies an opportunity to showcase equipment and solutions including agricultural machinery, irrigation systems, fertilizers, seeds, crop protection products, animal feed and various industrial services, targeting the needs of Senegal’s agricultural sector.

The Senegalese agricultural market is considered highly promising. It accounts for around 17% of GDP and employs nearly 70% of the workforce, mainly in rural areas.

With 3.4 million hectares of arable land, of which about 2 million are cultivated, the country has strong potential.

However, needs in mechanization, irrigation, quality inputs and post-harvest loss reduction highlight major investment opportunities, alongside continued dependence on imported agricultural products.

Beyond SIAGRO, the mission includes B2B meetings with local partners, field visits to farms and integrated agricultural operations, as well as outreach activities at the International Fair of Agriculture and Animal Resources (FIARA 2026), held in Dakar from March 30 to April 20, 2026.
