Tunisia: Attijari bank improves its half-yearly NBI by 4% to 245 million dinars

Attijari bank has published its activity indicators as at June 30, 2020. These indicators show a half-yearly Net Banking Income (NBI) up by 3.7% to 244.7 million dinars, from 235.9 million at the same date one year earlier.

Banking revenues increased by 3.8% from 274.8 million dinars to 305.2 million dinars between June 2019 and June 2020.

This rise results from the combined effect of the 11% increase in interests and assimilated incomes and the -16% decrease in commissions (in products) and -14.6% decrease in gains on commercial securities portfolio.

Operating expenses went up 3.9% to 170.4 million dinars. On the other hand, operating expenses reached 110.5 million dinars, against 107 million at the end of June 2019, i.e. a growth of 3.3%.

Customer deposits rose 10.7% compared to June 30, 2019 to 7.74 billion dinars. Sight deposits and savings accounts grew by 13.3% and 9.8% respectively.

Outstanding loans increased by 5% compared to the end of June 2019 to 6.04 billion dinars.
