The Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) expects an average inflation of 11% in 2023, against 8.3% in 2022, its governor Marouane El Abassi said Wednesday.
El Abassi said the pressures on prices are external and internal.
Internally, the rise in production costs and the gradual removal of subsidy should cause significant pressure on inflation during 2023.
According to the BCT forecasts, the inflation rate should fall to 8.9% in 2024.
