The average bank refinancing volume reached 12.8 billion dinars in September 2019, down 11% compared to August and 20% compared to September 2018.
This situation has allowed the Tunisian dinar to appreciate against foreign currencies, according to October 2019 Review of the Economic Situation published on the website of the Tunisian Institute of Competitiveness and Quantitative Studies (ITCEQ).
Financing of the economy (year-on-year) continue their slowdown initiated since the beginning of the year, decreasing from an annual rate of 5.8% in July 2019 to 4.9 in August 2019 compared to 11.1% in August 2018.
