The value of banknotes and coins in circulation (BCC) in Tunisia has reached a new all-time high.
According to daily data from the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), the value of BCC reached 21.8 billion dinars on 8 April, an increase of 2.8 billion dinars compared with the same date last year.
The circulation of banknotes has continued to increase in recent months, during the festive season, the month of Ramadan and the festival of Eid al-Fitr.
It should be noted that the volume of BMC has increased significantly since the second half of last year, exceeding 20 billion dinars for the first time at the end of June 2023.
