Meeting Wednesday, June 25, 2014, the Executive Board of the Central Bank noted the increased liquidity needs of banks at an accelerated rate during the month of June 2014, resulting in an intervention by the Central Bank to regulate liquidity amounting to 5.6 million Tunisian dinars (MTD) on daily average until the 24th of the same month, against 5.3 MTD last May.
Meanwhile, the average interest rate on the money market rate was 4.73% during the same period, against 4.70% in the previous month.
