Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), Chedly Ayari, on Monday, called for setting up a regional-Maghreb fund for the financing of basic infrastructure.
At a meeting currently held on “Islamic sukuks at the service of employment”, he added that the achievement of this objective would involve the use of Islamic sukuks as an important financial product for the development and creation of wealth.
“This fund could play a significant role in financing logistics and new information and communication technologies, for example,” he said.
