State spending amounted to 15.3 billion dinars, in the first five months of the current year, compared to 15.4 billion dinars at the end of May 2020.  1.1 billion dinars of these were allocated to the General Compensation Fund, compared to 1.6 billion dinars a year earlier, a decline of 33%.

In detail, 649.2 million dinars were allocated to the compensation of commodities (-4%), 200 million for fuel (-69%) and 247.5 million under the transport (-20%).

Thus, the budget allocated to commodities represents 59.2% of the overall amount of compensation, against 22.6% for transport and 18.2% for fuels, according to the provisional results of the execution of the state budget set at the end of May 2021.

The state plans in its 2021 budget law to allocate a budget of 3.1 billion dinars in compensation for this year, against 4.5 billion dinars spent in 2020 and 4.8 billion in 2019.
