Tunisia: businessmen’s mission in Abidjan to boost cooperation in building sector

Opportunities to boost co-operation between Tunisia and the Ivory Coast in the field of building trade were the focus of the meeting a delegation of Tunisian businessmen had here on Tuesday with Mrs. Niale Kaba, Ivorian Minister of Housing Promotion.

The businessmen, representing some 30 firms operating in the fields of architecture, building consulting and civil engineering, spoke of the expertise and skills they can provide to the Ivory Coast to successfully carry out its planned projects in matters of construction and real estate.

The Ivorian Minister expressed her country’s will to draw inspiration from Tunisia’s experience especially as regards low-cost housing and building industry.

The delegates of Tunisia’s private sector went to Abidjan to attend the third architecture and building trade exhibit “ARCHIBAT 2011” on November 28-December 3, and meet with their counterparts in the Ivory Coast with the aim of winning market shares in that country which is carrying out major changes in its infrastructure.
