Tunisia buys wheat, barley in tender

Tunisia’s state grains agency purchased some 75,000 tons of milling wheat and around 75,000 tons of feed barley all to be sourced from optional origins in a tender which closed on Wednesday, European traders said.

The milling wheat was sought for shipment between May and June and the barley for shipment between March and May, depending on origin.

The wheat was bought in three 25,000-ton consignments at USD 178.91 a ton c&f, USD 179.41 a ton c&f and USD 179.33 a ton c&f, traders said.

One 25,000-ton wheat consignment was bought instead of a 17,000-ton consignment originally sought, they said.

The barley was bought in three 25,000-ton consignments, one at USD 173.53 a ton c&f and two others both at USD 174.24 a ton c&f, they said.
