Carthage Cement achieved a total turnover of 208.546 million dinars (MD) at the end of the first half of 2023, up 24% compared to the same period in 2022, according to the business indicators of the cement factory published on the website of the Tunis Stock Exchange.
The improvement in Carthage Cement’s results is explained by the increase in the turnover of the cement business, due to higher sales, both local by +25% to 158,822 MD, and export by +19% to 31,284 MD, as at 30 June 2023.
Carthage Cement will thus consolidate its position as the leader of the cement sector in Tunisia, with an overall market share of 25% in the first half of 2023.
The same applies to the aggregates business, which continues its upward trend, reaching a turnover of 11,227 MD at the end of June 2023, an increase of 38%.
Concrete sales also went up by 3% to 7,213 MD.
